Graphic Design Technology for Junior
The main goal of WorldSkills Asia Juniors was to provide teenagers with an opportunity to find their drive and passion for the future.
Youth aged 14-16 years took part in the Competition.
Graphic Design Technology comprises many different skills and disciplines in the production of print and/or online publications and products. Individuals in this field are highly creative and client focused, with the ability to listen and communicate well.
Generally, projects include the following stages: research, planning and idea generation, designing and creating the final product, and applying the technical specifications for the intended output media. The practitioner will need to have a solid grasp of the specified printing and production processes.
There are many pathways for an individual with skills in graphic design technology, leading to work in advertising firms, a printing company or a corporate design department. Should one choose to specialize, they can take on the role of graphic designer/artist, illustrator, typographer or typesetter, prepress operator, digital printer, packaging specialist, and many more.
